After reviewing my goals from last week, it is clear to me that I have intimacy issues because I have a hard time telling my family I love them. Which if I could sum this problem all up with one word it would be the nasty “P” word that has always haunted me, PRIDE! It’s a good reality check. I need to be more intentional with showing and telling my family I love them before they are all grown up and gone. I don’t want to have any regrets.

Why would I have pride in this area? Because I could get hurt….. Because maybe they won’t say it back…… Because maybe they don’t feel the same way I do…. Because I’m just making excuses…. It’s pride, it doesn’t need an excuse.
