Scripture To Refresh The Weary Mom Of A Prodigal

I thought I would share with you some scripture that helped to encourage me during the absence of my prodigal son. The Word of God has been such an encouragement to me during this difficult time and I pray it will be to you as well. Let God’s Word wash you clean and minister to your soul. I wrote my scripture on index cards to flash myself whenever I felt discouraged and I encourage you to do the same!

*Psalm 56:8 Thou tellest my wanderings; put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

*Psalm 147:3 He healeth the brokenhearted and bindeth up their wounds.

Psalm 34;18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Psalm 71:20 Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shall bring me up again from the depths of the eaeth.

Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made unto God.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

Probverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the begining of knowledge: but fools despise sisdom an instructiion.

Job 23:10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, i shall come forth as gold.

Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with glory that shall be revealed in us.

Let’s encourage each other in the Lord! Have you experienced the pain of a prodigal child? Please testify and share practical tips to encourage other sisters in the Lord! Leave a reply below!

Scripture For The Weary Mom

Tired mom you cannot rely on your own strength to do your job! Sometimes you will get tired, weak, and frustrated from laying your life down for others..from staying up late..for getting up early..for dealing with temper tantrums.. piles of dishes…and laundry. Through all the trials and tribulations of life it’s easy to lose our focus..our purpose…our goal.. of raising Godly children!

Whenever discouragement kicks in it is time to fight back with filling your heart and soul with God’s living word. Dig deep, push yourself into a deeper walk with Christ, more reading of His word, and scripture memory. Push hard and you will push on through to the other side of this! The victory! The peace! The refocus! Remember it is only for a season!

Scriptures To Meditate On:

Philippians 3:14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Psalms 73:26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Psalms 18:32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.

Psalms 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Isaiah 40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Proverbs 16:20 He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.
