I thought I would share with you some scripture that helped to encourage me during the absence of my prodigal son. The Word of God has been such an encouragement to me during this difficult time and I pray it will be to you as well. Let God’s Word wash you clean and minister to your soul. I wrote my scripture on index cards to flash myself whenever I felt discouraged and I encourage you to do the same!
*Psalm 56:8 Thou tellest my wanderings; put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
*Psalm 147:3 He healeth the brokenhearted and bindeth up their wounds.
Psalm 34;18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Psalm 71:20 Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shall bring me up again from the depths of the eaeth.
Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made unto God.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
Probverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the begining of knowledge: but fools despise sisdom an instructiion.
Job 23:10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, i shall come forth as gold.
Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with glory that shall be revealed in us.
